Jeffrey Guhin
Jeffrey Guhin completes his Ph.D. in Sociology at Yale University this summer. His dissertation is a ethnographic comparison of two Sunni Muslim and two Evangelical Protestant high schools in the New York City area. In the fall, he begins a position as the Abd El-Kader Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia. His work has appeared in Mobilizing Ideas, The Immanent Frame, America, Killing the Buddha, and BustedHalo. His most recent academic publication, in Political Power and Social Theory, is "The Violences of Knowledge: Edward Said, Sociology, and Post-Orientalist Reflexivity."
